At Western OB/GYN, there’s nothing we like better than caring for moms-to-be. We’re proud of our legacy of caring for generations of women.
Moms-to-be can choose to work with an obstetrics and gynecology physician or a certified nurse midwife, depending on preferences and comfort. Our obstetrics and gynecology physicians specialize in routine and high-risk pregnancies. Together with certified nurse midwives, and certified family nurse practitioners, we offer pregnancy care from the first positive pregnancy test through post-partum.
Pregnancy care services:
- Prenatal care for routine and high-risk pregnancies
- Prenatal screenings, including amniocentesis
- Laboratory testing
- Comprehensive ultrasound
- Birth planning options
- Hydrotherapy, for relaxation during labor
- Water birth
Our Hospital Partner
We deliver babies at Ridgeview’s Waconia campus. Widely recognized for its amenities, caring staff and birthing tubs, the Birthing Center and its postpartum rooms offer families a soothing, spa-like environment that promises an exceptional birthing experience. Advanced technology at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – operated in partnership with Children’s Minnesota – assure patients and their new family members are in the best of hands. Take a virtual tour.
Some moms-to-be need more advanced care for pregnancy complications and maternal-child health during pregnancy. We’re proud to partner with perinatologists from the University of Minnesota Physicians and Minnesota Perinatology Physicians for specialty care close to home.
Ridgeview’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Developed and operated in collaboration with Children’s Minnesota, Ridgeview’s enhanced Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) expands its care for the most fragile of infants, as young as 30 weeks gestational age. We offer the high-quality, family-centered care patients have come to expect from Ridgeview and Children’s Minnesota—in a setting close to home.
If your baby needs advanced specialized care, we work with neonatologists from Allina Medical System’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital. These specialty care physicians provide the most advanced care for infants onsite. Rest assured, you and your baby will receive the best of care.
