So thankful for the care I received from the midwives this past year! I have been able to see Shawn Johnson for two of my pregnancies, and am so glad I did! She is a very kind, warm, skilled, intuitive listener who is committed to the providing the best care to each one of her patients! As a patient, I felt valued and that my concerns were listened to. I think she is amazing, and and a true gem! I am also thankful my delivery midwife, Leah Schroeder! She was very kind, skilled and helpful on that day, bringing my baby safely into the world!
I love Dr Baudoin, and the rest of the staff! I’ve been coming here for 16 years now and have always been treated respectfully and with good care, thank you!
Was able to see Gina Edison today. Did not get to see her last year because I had surgery so it was so good to see her. She is so dedicated and caring.
Dr. Huldeen is the best. I've been with her in annuals, pregnancy, and postpartum; every life stage, and I only hope she's around for the next phase. She is compassionate, attentive, and wise with her medical and personal advice. Life experience counts big in my care, and Dr. H. does not disappoint. Our last visit she prescribed a book over an RX, and as usual she was right on the diagnosis. Thoughtful expertise doesn't come along that often. I'm grateful.
I started going to Western OB GYN as a teenager and now I'm in my 30's and all the doctors, nurses, and staff have made me feel comfortable and communicate well throughout the time I have been going there. I will continue to go to Western OB GYN!
My wife and I are going through the infertility process and we have been more than impressed with everyone at Western. This is the hardest thing we have ever been through together and it is comforting working with the staff here. Our insurance has been nothing but a nightmare (100% unrelated to Western) and Robin has been incredible in helping us through the process. She even spent time on her day off to help me out with insurance. In these times of struggle it means the world to us both! Thank you!
Dr. Ou-Yang is truly amazing. Best doctor of any kind that I've seen. As a woman, it can be difficult to discuss issues with some doctors without them writing it off as anxiety. With Dr. Ou-Yang, she listens and treats every concern as a valid issue. She lays out every possible cause of an issue, goes in depth, the likelihood of each one, and how it would be addressed. She doe this all while being extremely relatable (sharing stories from her life), funny, and reassuring (sometimes it can feel like you're the only person who goes through something!). If I could go to Dr. Ou-Yang for every issue, I definitely would. I don't think a lot of woman can say this, but I actually look forward to going to the OBGYN, THAT'S how cared about I feel when I see Dr. Ou-Yang!
I had an ovarian cyst that sent me to the emergency room where Dr. Freitas was on call. I am super high anxiety with medical procedures and she has a very calming demeanor. She explains everything thoroughly without being condescending. She did the surgery 2 weeks later and went out of her way to fit me in. She also did a very nice job on the incisions and they seem to me to be as small as possible (a big concern of mine). She’s so amazing I immediately switched my teenage daughter’s care over to her.
Dr Huldeen was my primary OB and delivered 3 of my children. I’ve been very happy with her throughout.
I have had the opportunity to be cared for by Dr.’s Baudoin, Huldeen, and Ou-Yang prior to, during, and post delivery and then prior to, during, and post surgery. I trust these doctors and highly recommend any of them. They treated me with dignity and respect, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt they care. I was healthy my whole pregnancy, and my baby was growing exactly how she should have. I even considered a home birth. But I am so glad I met an EMT who said to wait until after my first to decide. Lo and behold, my delivery had complications because my body didn’t do what it was supposed to, and without this team, I’m not sure if my baby or I would be here. I know there are a lot of options out there because I moved in the middle of my pregnancy, but these three know what they’re doing and can be the difference between a safe and healthy delivery even with complications and the alternative. If you’re thinking about delivering at Ridgeview, please do yourself a favor and decide - this is where you need to be. The nurses are wonderful and make you feel welcomed and cared for like you were their sister, daughter, or mother. I didn’t know what I was doing, but it didn’t matter, everyone taught me and my husband exactly what to do and expect. In addition to that, the delivery and recovery rooms are incredible. I was able to continue changing positions from the ball, to the bed, to the walls, to the spa-like bath tub and back again. I could have a lot of light or a little, and there was endless ice water brought by the amazing nurses in this fab water cup I still use. I delivered really late at night, but I had all the nurses and doctors I needed, so even though it’s a bit out of the major city, it’s a hidden gem.
