Sarah Rose Labine, DNP, CNM

Sarah Rose Labine, DNP, CNM, provides midwifery care to women at Western OB/GYN, A Division of Ridgeview Clinics. She sees patients at the Chaska and Waconia clinic locations.

Labine has special interests in prenatal care, nutrition, contraception, perinatal mood concerns, and low-risk labor and birth (including water birth). One of her favorite roles as a nurse-midwife is teaching and helping her patients understand their bodies and any recommended treatments—both natural/integrative and pharmacologic.

“I started my nursing career as a bedside nurse working on a Labor and Delivery unit. It was a powerful experience to be somebody’s ‘person’ during a life-changing experience like having a baby. I wanted to expand that relationship from just being a part of that person’s birth to being alongside for their entire journey. As a nurse-midwife, I have the honor of partnering with women through all stages of life and be a calm, knowledgeable presence they can turn to as their body changes from a young person through menopausal age,” shares Sarah.

Sarah enjoys traveling, being active outdoors, gardening and cooking with the foods she’s grown. She and her husband live in Chaska; both are health care providers who feel privileged to be serving their community.

Favorite wellness tip: Practicing gratefulness can improve your mental, physical and emotional health. Reflecting, being present with and recognizing good is beneficial for facing any of life’s inevitable twists and turns.
